Stop the World: I Want to Get Off
The Anthony Newley/Leslie Bricusse London and Broadway musical hit Stop the World, I Want to Get Off is given literal treatment in this filmization. Newley stars as Littlechap, whose allegorical rise to success is countered by the instability of his private life. Like the play, the film is staged impressionistically, with Newley decked out in mime makeup and periodically stopping the action to address the audience, and with all the women in his life -- German, American and "Typically English" -- played by a single actress (Millicent Martin, taking over from the stage version's Anna Quayle). In Wizard of Oz fashion, the play itself is lensed in color, while the brief prologue, showing the actors preparing for their performance, is in black-and-white. The production includes such standards (and perennial audition pieces) as What Kind of Fool Am I? and Gonna Build a Mountain.

“The Little Red Schoolbook?” Written by two Danes, the book sought to empower schoolchildren by having them question societal norms and fight for a better education system. 20 of its 200 pages included straight-up-and-down facts about sex and drugs. They were the pages that mattered. There were frank “how-to’s” on sexual acts using everyday profanities without apology. Drug facts were openly discussed. The book was non-judgemental, seeking to provide children with the information that adults had kept from them for years. And therein lay the anarchic rub.

The Boy at the Edge of The World
Omul is ten years old boy together with his parents, brother Mikro and younger sister Kimi live in the village Krimo near the sea. Once, Omul and Kimi play on the beach. Suddenly, the weather is rapidly changing, there is a huge wave heading to the island. Water covers the children. Under the sea, Omul witnesses when Kimi’s soul is stolen by a mysterious creature — Sadumea, the main character of various legends. At the last moment, siblings are saved by a whale. Omul wakes up in the hospital, where he finds out that Kimi is in a coma. Together with Mikro and Tela the dog, they start dangerous travel to find and save the soul of their beloved sister.
