Dance Moms is an American dance reality series that debuted on Lifetime on July 13, 2011. Created by Collins Avenue Productions, it is set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Abby Lee Dance Company, and follows children's early careers in dance show business, and their mothers. A spinoff series, Dance Moms: Miami, set in Miami at Victor Smalley and Angel Armas' dance studio, Stars Dance Studio, premiered on April 3, 2012, and was cancelled in September 2012 after eight episodes. On October 10, 2012, Lifetime announced that they had picked up Dance Moms for a third season, consisting of 26 episodes, which debuted on January 1, 2013.

Episode 36 - The Big Not-So-Easy
Episode 35 - Do-Si-Do and Do-Si-Don't
First Aired: September. 03,2013

It's Regionals and the pressure is on for Abby's dancers to prove they are worthy of attending Nationals. Abby assigns what appears to be a simple country-style group number, but the hoe-down proves so physically demanding the girls aren't sure they can pull it off. Meanwhile, with Nationals just around the corner, Abby comes up with some interesting pairings for duets that put the dancers and their mom's to the test.

Episode 30 - Clash of the Dance Moms
First Aired: July. 30,2013

Payton is brought in to replace Brooke and Paige. The group dance is called Open Waters. Cathy assembles another new team including Hadley, Mari, Brooke, Nicaya, and Lucas. They do a group dance entitled "The Four Seasons." Chloe, Nia, and Kendall does a trio entilled "Castaways", up against Nicaya, Mari, and Lucas in the trio "Spies Like Them." Cathy and Anthony bring their moms to the performance.

Episode 27 - Tap Versus Hip Hop
First Aired: July. 16,2013

Abby is back from LA. Maddie receives a tap solo called "Me And You Against The World." Chloe gets a hip hop solo entitled "Beautiful", and Kenzie gets a solo called "California Adventure." The group dance is titled "Gone Too Soon." It's about Hollywood deaths. Maddie is Princess Diana, Chloe is Marilyn Monroe, Brooke is Amy Winehouse, Paige is Anna Nicole Smith, Nia is Whitney Houston, and Kendall is Selena. Mackenzie is told by Abby that she cannot participate in recess, because she was so tired out at solo rehearsal.

Episode 22 - Two Girls, One Solo
First Aired: June. 11,2013

Abby decides to have Maddie and Chloe dance the exact same solo shocking the moms to see who really is the best dancer at the Abby Lee Dance Company. Chloe ends up winning first, and Maddie ends up taking second. Abby Is upset with Maddie losing, she go to the competion director and tells them the counted it wrong, the director comes in an gives Maddie first and Chloe second. Abby then lies saying the director pointed the mistake out but when the director comes back in the room and thanks abby for pointing out the mistakes the moms look horrified. Asia and Mackenzie go head to head as well, but Asia comes in first, while Macknenzie places second. After last week's big fight Christi and Kelly find that their friendship will never be the same again. Abby notices this and makes the two go down stares and die the pink ribbon together alone. Meanwhile, the theme of the group dance causes Abby to have painful memories to Abby and the moms.

Episode 21 - Boy Crazy, Mom Crazy

Abby plays matchmaker when Brooke dancers with the Seniors and she sets her up on a date. meanwhile Kelly is keeping to herself and Jill is not happy with it. Cathy discovers there is a rotten apple and asks Gino and Mikey to leave, Mikey asks Abby if there is a place on her team for Gino, and it is told the Gino has a crush on Maddie as they are always texting, he gave her a valentine and kissed her cheek backstage.

Episode 20 - Tell All, Part 2
First Aired: May. 14,2013

Last time, Dance Moms' executive producer Jeff Collins sat down with Abby Lee Miller and the moms to rehash season 3. This week's dramatic conclusion finds New Dance Mom Kristie Ray quick to defend Abby and former Dance Mom Jackie and her daughter Sophia managed to rub Melissa the wrong way. The final showdown is between Abby and Cathy...Abby has not gotten over Cathy hitting her with her purse.

Episode 19 - Tell All, Part 1
First Aired: May. 07,2013

Dance Moms' executive producer Jeff Collins sits down with Abby Lee Miller and the Moms to revisit Season 3. After a wild and explosive season, Christi and Kelly finally dish on how their friendship was tested and when Abby reminds Christi of the suspension, tensions are high and one of the ladies leaves the stage. Plus the cast answers audience questions and the Abby Lee Dance Company girls perform some of their best dance routines.

Episode 17 - The View from the Top
First Aired: April. 23,2013

The team hits the Big Apple not only for a competition, but also for a very special surprise. Abby has been invited to co-host "The View" where the girls will perform their winning dance "The Last Text," however, Abby wrestles with the decision to replace injured Mackenzie with newcomer Asia. Of course, Cathy and her Candy Apples are also in the city, where they are holding open auditions to add another member to their winning team.

Episode 16 - May I Have This Dance?
First Aired: April. 16,2013

Abby's announcement of her guest-hosting gig on "The View" brings out the competitiveness between Melissa and Kristie when Mackenzie and Asia battle it out for a featured part in a televised dance performance. Meanwhile, the moms are furious about Abby promoting Maddie to "assistant choreographer" for the group number. Also, Nia struggles to keep up with Asia's energy when they're paired together for a duet.

Episode 15 - The Politics of Dancing
First Aired: April. 09,2013

In this patriotic episode, Abby assigns the girls dances inspired by the political state of America, but all is not fair in politics...especially in the dance world. Maddie and Chloe compete head-to-head and continuing with the political theme Abby has the Abby Lee Dance Company vote on who gave the best performance. Forced to sit on the sidelines, injured Mackenzie must watch her coveted spot on the team be taken over by ALDC's newest little powerhouse, Asia.

Episode 12 - The Apple of Her Eye
First Aired: March. 19,2013

In a two-hour episode, Abby appears uncertain about casting Nia in a dance about Rosa Parks, while Jill promotes her daughter as a possible replacement in the title role. Abby enjoys uncharacteristically warm and playful moments with Paige, Mackenzie and Kendall. Kendall is given a solo where she must work on her facial expressions. Mackenzie is assigned the role of team makeup artist. Paige and Chloe are given a duet. Abby gives Holly a makeover. Following "Candy Apple's Day" in Canton, Cathy shows up at the competition with bodyguards, as her group performs a take-off of "Gangnam Style." Jalen is comforted by his father after problems with his costume.

Abby couldn't be more thrilled to have a new star on team, but Melissa is starting to feel like Sophia is pushing Maddie out of the spotlight and into the corner. When Abby assigns Maddie and Kendall a duet, Melissa pretends to be happy about it but confides in Abby the awful truth. Jill, Christi, Kelly and Holly band together and try to get Melissa to admit her deceit. Meanwhile, Abby once again bans Brooke from the competition but gives Paige a solo so she can try to justify her spot on the team.

Episode 1 - The Beginning of the End
First Aired: January. 01,2013

The new competition season is underway, but Abby is extremely disappointed in the girls because they blew off dance class during the break. So, Abby holds an open audition to bring new blood to the team hoping to replace Brooke and Paige and teach the girls a lesson. To everyone's dismay, Abby welcomes new dancer Ally and new mom Shelly to the group. The whole team misses Kelly, Brooke and Paige, but they soldier on to compete at In10sity Dance in Denver. Abby also pits Chloe and Maddie head-to-head, putting a lot of pressure on Chloe who just beat Maddie out of a national title.
