He turns it in to the police, who--according to the law--will hold it for 90 days, and if no one claims it, the wallet and its content will be given to the person who found it. However, when his friends and neighbors find out that he turned in the wallet, they ridicule him mercilessly, and he begins to wonder if he did the right thing or not.

Surrounded by a loving family (in stark contrast to Lee's own family background) they fall in love. This creates a new problem: how do they handle the upcoming trial?

Eventually the situation collapses when they come to pursue their original, individual interests without choosing a common path.

As a result, he gets a promotion, buys presents for all of his family and friends, and proposes to his girl. When the truth comes out, he's not prepared for the consequences.
