An Ambiguous Report About the End of the World
Set over a two-decade period in a tiny Central European village, this drama not only chronicles a couple's tragic star-crossed love, it also serves as a metaphor for the tragedy of lost traditions. After opening in the snowy wilds as two people spectacularly die, the story jumps back 20 years as young Verona prepares to marry. Minutes after the explosion, the crew evacuates the spacecraft and boards the lunar module. This tiny module has air for 2 men for 2 days. Now there are 3 men aboard and they are four days from home!
Although the mission is a failure, the incredible rescue of the astronauts from certain death is one of the most exciting true stories ever told.
